Trafficking in Persons Report 2010
The State Department releases the Trafficking in Persons report annually. This year’s edition marks the first time that the U.S self assessed and evaluated the United States. The TIP report is a useful tool, but it is important to remember that the countries are not ranked on effectiveness, but on their ability to meet certain minimum thresholds. In other words a country could receive a tier 1 ranking, but still have a terrible trafficking industry within its borders.
